Maple Citrus Seafood Marinade

Maple Citrus Seafood marinade using maple syrup, fresh pineapple, lemons and limes.

Used as a marinade for ling cod, but can also be used for other seafood.

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 Tablespoons Maple Syrup
  • Smoked Paprika
  • Pepper
  • Pineapple
  • Lemons
  • Limes
  • Ling cod

 

Maple Citrus marinade

Squeeze 2 limes.  Whisk lime juice, soy sauce and maple syrup together. Dice half a pineapple (can use a can of pineapple), gently crush the pieces to bring out the juice, but leave some chunks. Mix with the soy/maple mixture.  Add Paprika (I’ve become obsessed with smoked parika) and pepper to taste.  Slice the lemons to spread over the fish while cooking, can also use sliced limes if you prefer.  Pour over seafood – I used ling cod for this particular dish.  Bake at 350* for 20-25 minutes or until fish flakes apart.

Marinade 15 mins to 2 hours prior to cooking.  Good grilled or baked.

Slice remaining pineapple to serve on the side.
